Full Screen Gigapan Viewer - The Inauguration

I'm a bit slow sometimes and many times I get the information after the fact. This is just one such example. I've just recently opened (and and actually read) an email from a friend who pointed out some mutual friends in the crowd at the Inaugural address. These friends were pointed out via -

A 1,474 megapixel panoramic shot of the ceremony composed from 220 images stitched together.

What a feat!

I thought this was a bit overboard but I had a great time snooping around and looking at people in the crowd. It's amazing what you can do with technology now. You can zoom in on people with incredible detail. It's kind of like playing around with Google Earth a bit. It's characteristically voyeuristic I know but I won't tell if you won't. I was surprised at how many prominent people appeared to be sleeping (or resting their eyes) during the speech. Maybe they just blinked from the flash. Makes you stop and take notice...... Big Brother is watching! I didn't see anyone picking their nose but I didn't look at everyone. If you've got a few minutes to kill.......

Follow this link to zoom in on people at the Inauguration address

When you zoom, give it a second to download the high resolution picture.

Did you see anyone you know?

You found me that quickly? There are thousands of people in the photo. You knew where to look didn't you? You think someone picked up my trash? Boy it was cold!
