More Joshua Tree

Some of you may be saying "Enough of the U2 and Joshua tree stuff." Well, this post is for those of you who really enjoyed my "U2- Joshua Tree" post a few weeks ago and are thirsty for more
information.

I was stimulated by some of the comments by Speedcat, Bellydancegirl, Pentad, and Footsteps to do a little more research on this Joshua tree stuff. In my studies, I discovered a wonderfully written post by Brad Biringer, who submitted: My Two Visits to U2's Joshua Tree.
Brad paints a wonderful picture as he leads you through his odyssey and highlights his story with photos, personal experiences and history. To me, this post read like a fine short story. Miss Jane -I hope you don't find this story a bit too "soppy" (in your words) but I enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the few minutes to read.

Well just a little soppy but nice anyway.

Music is a powerful emotive force; how much I remember a song really depends on the emotions I associate with it. So for me Sunday Bloody Sunday is the U2 song I remember most; probably because of all the Irish troubles I remember from my youth.

Now where's that Sting post? Big feature on him and Trudy this week over here about their MASSIVE carbon footprint.

Have you read Global warning;Last Chance for Change? by Paul Brown I understand it's been a best seller in the US.I'd be interested to know what American citizens genuinely feel about this issue Mr I.Mrs T is in one of her crusading moods which doesn't happen very often unless there's the offer of a very large bar of chocolate as a reward.

Thanks for the link to that beautiful article. I love that he and his wife named their son Joshua!

Gotta have a good epilogue. And the stark photos are lovely.
Thanks for sharing (I HAVE to get back to that place).

Hey There Miss Jane, you're showing signs of being warm blooded. What's the story? I Haven't read "Global Warning" yet but Americans are jumping on the band wagon. Inspite of the current administration's denouncement of the "Global warming phenomena," many Americans believe it exists and that something should be done. Lots of recycling and emission control standards where I live. But tons more to be done. Thanks for your crusade. I liked your post. Just can't believe you actually know the name of a U2 song...

Belly, you're welcome. I tuned into the naming the kid thing as well. How sentimental.... It was a good read for me.

Heather, not nearly as nice as some of your photos. But a good story. It would be great if you went back and took some shots for us to enjoy!

Mr I, of course I know the names of U2 songs! Why I even have an album or two (Whoops that's CDs now isn't it?) There, I'm not such a philistine! But you know their songs aren't so good to bop too and I like bopping. Must remember to stop singing into my hairbrush though; it's a tad embarrassing when people catch me at it at my age.
