Don't get me started on the whole Blu Ray thing... but I am a big fan of " A Charlie Brown Christmas." I usually try to catch it every Christmas season.
It's special in it's own way.
I've been slowly catching up on my Christmas specials, including Charlie Brown, and tonight, I watched a new Christmas special - Prep & Landing.
Prep & Landing is a 30 minute animated story based on an idea by Chris Williams at Walt Disney Animation Studios and developed by Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton. It first aired December 8, 2009 on ABC. I missed it then but I recorded it and just got around to watching it tonight. It was cute. It's about an elite unit of elves, Prep and Landing, who ensure that homes around the world are properly prepared to be visited by Santa. You can catch it again Thursday December 24, 2009 on ABC.
Enjoy!

We did catch Prep and Landing - twice in fact already. I think my kids liked it more than Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown is nostalgic for us old timers, but it's not as exciting for kids who see cartoons all the time. I remember back in the day that it was a big deal to see cartoons on at night. They would flash "Special" all over the screen, and would interrupt regularly scheduled programs. Very exciting stuff.
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to record that for the boys. My oldest son gets into the classics like Charlie Brown and others, but the younger ones just aren't as into it as we were as kids. Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer came on a few nights ago. I was sure the babies would love it. No such luck.
Oh cool! I missed this the first time but my kids all saw it and loved it! I'm glad to know it is on again. Thanks1
Mike,
Who you callin' an old timer? :) Yeah, I know what you mean. Times are a-changing. It will be interesting to see what our kids will cherish and consider nostalgic when they are old timers.
Summer, What? They didn't love Ruddy? Scandalous!
Hey Chris, let me know what you think when you see it.... :)
